The Fulton Group Announces New Advisory Board 7/16/2007 |

South Easton, Massachusetts – The Fulton Group, a nationwide provider of integrated business services, today announced the creation of a six-seat advisory board. Fulton executive management will meet quarterly with the panel to review the long-range financial and strategic planning efforts for the organization. “We’re very pleased to welcome such a diverse and seasoned group of professionals to our group,” said Joseph Piro, President & CEO, Fulton. “The executive experience from various industries including government contracts, manufacturing, services, distribution and logistics, software and academia will provide the balanced perspective necessary for healthy and sustainable organizational growth.”
The Fulton Group welcomes the following business professionals:
• Peter Delahunt: Peter is Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis for Talbots, Inc. of Hingham, MA, a $2.5 billion international specialty retailer, cataloger and e-tailer of women’s, men’s and children’s apparel. In addition to all aspects of financial planning and analysis, Peter’s expertise includes capital planning, investor relations, external SEC reporting and strategic planning. He is a graduate of Babson College.
• Larry Halpern: Larry is a Senior Lecturer in the Operations, Information & Strategic Management Department at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. While pursuing his MBA at Columbia, Larry worked very closely with David Dodd, whose recommendation subsequently led to a position with the Securities & Exchange Commission. Additionally, Larry has worked in a variety of executive capacities including; LF Rothschild, CEO/Group, VP Genesco/Girltown, President, Leslie Fay-Division, CEO Bobbie Brooks, CEO-Geoffrey Beene LTD, MSU-Orser Visiting Professor, Providence College, Northeastern, Executive in Residence, Business Commentary-WBZ, NECN and Wall Street of the Rockies, KCTV-7. Larry has a BA from Harvard and an MBA from Columbia.
• Mike Maguire: As Vice President CSO – Global Ecosystem and Partner Group for SAP, Mike has been focused on supply chain transformation for the majority of his 23 years in the technology provider industry. He has spent the last 14 years at SAP, in various leadership and business development roles. Mike was the North American Vice President of Supply Chain Solutions for the last six years, before taking on his current role of VP, Global Ecosystem and Partner Business Development earlier in 2007. Mike has had prior roles at Computer Associates and Cap Gemini (Ernst & Young) Management Consulting Services. He is a graduate of distinction from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
• Bruce Barnet: Bruce is the President and founder of Supply Strategies, a procurement services organization specializing in the Asia market. Supply Strategies employs direct procurement specialists with offices in Zhuhai, Shanghai & Hong Kong, China. Bruce successfully brokered the sale of Supply Strategies to Axiom Equity Group in February of 2007. He brings more than 20 years of international experience in finance, strategy, acquisitions, divestitures, outsourcing, internal controls and operations for multinational companies in various industries. He has developed considerable expertise and experience in the China market with respect to manufacturing, finance, outsourcing and procurement solutions. Prior to founding Supply Strategies, Bruce served as the Chief Financial Officer for Ark-Les Corporation, as Group Controller for Speedline Technologies, as Director of Internal Audit for Cookson Electronics and has held various other executive positions in both the public and private sector. Bruce is a CPA, has a BA from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from Bentley College.
• John Friel: After serving 21 years in The United States Air Force, John taught high school mathematics and history. His extensive postgraduate work in education, business administration and the military led to various leadership positions for organizations having global contracts with the Department of Defense. Some of these positions included; Vice President/General Manager, Technical Director, MIS Director and Systems Design Analyst. Additionally, John has substantial experience in acquiring and managing private sector contracts for various small businesses. John has a BS in Education from The University of Maine as well as an MA in education from the University of Northern Colorado.
• Chris Veglas: In addition to being a company principal, Chris serves as Vice President of Finance and Operations for CBM Industries, Inc., a provider of contract assembly, BOM procurement and program management solutions for OEM’s and subcontractors. Prior to joining CBM, Chris was a Project Manager for Daley.Commerce, an ERP software company specializing in distribution management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Bryant University.
